Getting to Know Me:

I am Meme Lwin, an Orphanage Ambassador for the Mary K. Yap Foundation and a passionate advocate for children in need of love, care, and emotional support. With a double engineering degree in electronics and a background in film and media, I had the honor of serving as the Unit Production Manager and Script Supervisor for the award-winning charity feature film Unbroken Ties (Myanmar title: Myittar), a U.S.–Myanmar co-production that was selected by eight international film festivals and recognized with eleven awards. Through this powerful project, I was able to help bring meaningful stories to life while also amplifying the voices of vulnerable communities.

My greatest fulfillment, however, comes from my direct work with orphaned and disadvantaged children across Myanmar. I am committed to promoting their growth and confidence by leading engaging, socially empowering programs, organizing joyful festival celebrations, and supporting the Foundation’s flagship outreach efforts—including the stuffed animal TeddyBear4Hold campaign initiatives. These efforts are designed to uplift the emotional well-being of children and remind them that they are seen, valued, and deeply loved. Every step I take with the Mary K. Yap Foundation is grounded in my belief that every child deserves a chance to thrive, and I am proud to be part of a mission that brings lasting hope and healing to those who need it most.
