Getting to Know Me:

I am Angela Harty, a devoted mother of three and wife to a beloved husband, proudly serving as the South African Orphanage Ambassador for the Mary K. Yap Foundation. With over a decade of hands-on experience leading and guiding global teams to project management success, I bring both professional insight and heartfelt passion to every initiative I support. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Foundation Phase Education, I have recently embraced a new chapter in my life as a Grade 1 educator in Johannesburg, South Africa, where I nurture young minds at their most formative stage.

My work as an educator aligns closely with the mission of the Mary K. Yap Foundation—to bring hope, care, and opportunity to vulnerable and orphaned children across the world. I am committed to using both my educational background and leadership experience to promote a brighter, more inclusive world where every child is valued, supported, and given the tools to reach their full potential.

Getting to Know Me:

I am Kayode Soyombo, a business owner by profession, born in the vibrant commercial capital of Lagos, Nigeria. As a proud father of three grown sons and grandfather to five wonderful grandchildren, my life has been deeply enriched by family, purpose, and service. Though I am now retired from the demands of business life, I remain passionately engaged in work that uplifts and empowers the most vulnerable among us. I am an active contributor to the CODISA Foundation, an organization dedicated to promoting the advancement and well-being of children with disabilities.

Through my involvement, I have come to recognize the extraordinary potential within these children, and the profound impact of encouragement, inclusion, and access to opportunity. Children with disabilities face challenges that require not only compassion but also collective action—our unity can help remove barriers and ignite hope in their lives. As an Orphanage Ambassador, I stand in solidarity with the mission of the Mary K. Yap Foundation, which is devoted to bringing hope, care, and empowerment to orphaned children worldwide, including those with disabilities. Together, we can create a world where no child is left behind, and every child—regardless of ability or circumstance—is given the chance to thrive.

Hunter Finley

Getting to Know Me:

I am Hunter Finley, Orphanage Ambassador from San Francisco and a proud graduate of Chapman University, where I earned a B.F.A. in Film Production and Cinematography with a minor in Business Entrepreneurship. I come from a close-knit family with two siblings—an older sister and a younger brother. As a creative producer and program manager based in Silicon Valley, I’ve spent my professional career helping companies bring their stories to life through visual storytelling and data-driven marketing. My expertise lies in digital media strategy, emerging technologies like AR and VR, and leading cross-functional teams to manage complex creative projects. With a strong foundation in market research and digital production, I aim to create impactful experiences that connect with diverse audiences.

Through my work with the Mary K. Yap Foundation, I’ve discovered a deeper purpose—using my creative skills to uplift and support underprivileged children, especially those in orphanages. I believe storytelling is a powerful tool not just in marketing, but also in inspiring hope and imagination among youth who need it most. By helping bring their stories to the forefront, or by creating media experiences that let them dream bigger, I contribute to their emotional and intellectual development. I am Enrico Domingo, Orphanage Ambassador from Manila, Philippines, and a proud graduate of Don Bosco Technical College, Class of 1975. I am a father of two grown children and have shared over fifty wonderful years with my wife and partner. Now retired, I devote my time and energy to giving back to communities in need, especially orphanages that struggle to provide the essentials for the children under their care. Cecil Cheong

Getting to Know Me:

I am Cecil Cheong, Orphanage Ambassador from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. As a father of two young children and a devoted husband, I cherish every moment I can spend with my family when not on the road. With over two decades of experience as an ICT professional in the telecommunications industry, my career has led me through regional leadership roles with major mobile network operators and global companies. My expertise spans cloud transformation, cybersecurity, and technical sales, where I have embraced innovation while balancing the human element of technology as a business enabler. These experiences have not only shaped my professional growth but also deepened my appreciation for connection, imagination, and impact.

In my role as an Orphanage Ambassador, I proudly support the Mary K Yap Foundation’s mission, especially its heartfelt campaigns that bring orphaned children to the cinema for the first time (#FirstMovieExperience)—offering them a magical experience of seeing stories unfold on the big screen. For many of these children, it is more than just entertainment—it is a window into possibility, creativity, and the power of dreams. I believe every child deserves a chance to feel joy, wonder, and inspiration. My background in storytelling through technology motivates me to support efforts that ignite imagination and encourage children to express themselves and explore the world around them. Shizuka Udagawa

Getting to Know Me:

My name is Shizuka Udagawa, and I live in Chikushino City, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, where I am a proud mother of four wonderful children—a 19-year-old son, a 14-year-old daughter, a 12-year-old son, and a 7-year-old son. I graduated from Meiji Acupuncture and Moxibustion University (now Meiji International Medical University) in Kyoto and trained for seven years under a respected teacher in Chiba Prefecture. Today, I run the Ohisama Acupuncture and Moxibustion Clinic, where I work daily as an acupuncturist, offering care that nurtures not just the physical body but also the mind and soul. Seeing my patients heal and smile brings me joy and purpose.

As an Orphanage Ambassador for the Mary K. Yap Foundation, I am honored to bring my medical background into service for orphaned children who often lack access to basic healthcare. I plan to support the Foundation’s health and wellness initiatives by actively participating in the promotion of #HealthChecks campaign, which calls for a routine health checkups for every orphan child. These health screenings are essential to identifying early medical concerns, supporting long-term wellness, and building a future where every child has the foundation for a healthy life. I believe that holistic care—including both physical and emotional well-being—is a right, not a privilege, and I am deeply committed to helping ensure that vulnerable children receive the compassionate care they deserve.
